Once your character has reached at least level 5, you can go to one of the following Engineering trainers to learn the profession:
Horde Engineering Trainers
- Thund in the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar (75.8 24.6)
- Graham Van Talen in the Rogues’ Quarter in Undercity (75.6 73.6)
- Mukdrak in Razor Hill in Durotar (52.2 40.8)
Alliance Engineering Trainers
- Sprite Jumpsprocket in the Dwarven District in Stormwind (54.8 8.8)
- Jemma Quikswitch in Tinker Town in Ironforge (67.8 43.8)
- Jenna Lemkenilli in Auberdine in Darkshore (38.2 41.0)
To learn Engineering from 150 to 225 you need to talk to an Artisan Engineer.

World drop from mobs level 48-60 or raid bosses (e.g., Nefarian in Blackwing Lair). But there’s a trick to get the benefits of both.
Here’s what I usually do:

The following two specializations are available:
- Goblin Engineering
- Gnomish Engineering
Your chosen specialization allows you to craft unique items that are not available to players with the other specialization. While trainers in Ironforge (Alliance) or Orgrimmar (Horde) teach core recipes, rare schematics—obtained through world drops, vendors, quests, or bosses—are the heart of Engineering.
Fortunately, most recipes that are crafted by one Specialization can be worn by both.

20 x Unstable Trigger - 20 Mithril Bar, 20 Mageweave Cloth, 20 Solid Blasting PowderSave these.

It will be yellow for the last few points, so you might not reach 285.

Only one spec can craft these, but you can still use them even after switching specs.

You will need the 60 Rough Blasting Powder later, so keep these.

Journeyman Engineering (75 - 135)
You can only train Engineering past 75 if you learn Journeyman Engineering.
