Season 20 features 16 of the greatest competitors from Top Chef iterations around the globe, facing off in the fiercest showdown the culinary series has seen when the new season kicks off this March.

"With the region’s freshest ingredients at their fingertips and high stakes on the line, the chefs will have to cook their best as they battle through Quickfire and Elimination Challenges designed to put their skills, creativity, and knowledge to the test.

Looking for more delicious insight into the new season? Furthermore, this season, every single Quickfire offers the opportunity to win a cash prize; between the Quickfires and the elimination challenges, there is "more than $150,000 in total up for grabs."

Lastly, the show will feature near-endless appearances from the most accomplished in the worlds of culinary arts, culture, food, television, film and the arts, plus a bevy of "Top Chef" alum and frequent guests, of course.

“Top Chef: Destination Canada” premieres Thursday, March 13, on Bravo, with episodes available the following day on Peacock.

According to an announcement, the upcoming Season 23 of Bravo's Top Chef "will be centered in the emerging and diverse culinary hub of Charlotte, North Carolina, with several episodes in Greenville, South Carolina. Production for the new season of the Bravo competition show will begin this summer 2025.

The Season 23 announcement for Top Chef was made in partnership with the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority and VisitGreenvilleSC.

What to expect on Top Chef Season 22

According to the show announcement, "The cheftestants must show off their creativity and skills as they battle it out in a range of challenges across our northern neighbor, showcasing Canada’s tapestry of flavors and diverse landscapes from the nation’s boreal forests, sun-drenched deserts and windswept prairies to the icy tundra, rugged coastlines and serene farmlands."

London’s calling and Bravo’s Top Chef is answering the call. Top Chef returns for a milestone Season 20 with World All-Stars in the famed British city.

When Does Season 20 of Top Chef premiere? 

Top Chef Season 20 premieres on Thursday, March 9, on Bravo with — wait for it — an entire season of supersize episodes airing Thursdays from 9-10:15/8-9:15c.

Plus, the winner will get a feature in Food & Wine Magazine and make an appearance at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen.

What's more, for the very first time in Top Chef history, the first-place finisher will also headline a dinner at the James Beard house in New York City and have the chance to present at The James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards in Chicago, Illinois.

As if that's not enough to get the chefs (and viewers) excited, cash prizes totaling $150,000 will be offered during each Quickfire Challenge, and at several Elimination Challenges.

From Toronto to Calgary, Montreal, and Prince Edward Island, Season 22 will highlight much of the rich cooking scene in Canada, and it will feature many familiar faces.

Host Kristen Kish is returning, as are long-standing judges Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons.

“We’re excited to return to the south for Top Chef Carolinas,” Ryan Flynn, Senior Vice President, Current Production, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said in a statement about Top Chef Season 23.

Where does Top Chef Season 22 take place?

Top Chef Season 22 takes place throughout Canada. As a Bravo press release notes, each episode this season will be "supersized" and the winning prize is the largest in the history of the show: $250,000 provided by Saratoga Spring Water.

Episodes will be available the next day on Peacock.
