Cafe så gott stockholm

Hem / Resor & Turism / Cafe så gott stockholm

While a single ride is quite expensive compared to other parts of Europe, it is worth getting the 24 hr or 72 hr pass for unlimited rides. We arrived late in the afternoon and just in time to grab one of the last mini princess cakes!

I’m writing this blog post a couple of days after our trip and I cannot stop thinking about the yucca fries.

Let me know in the comments!

While we were there lots of locals stopped in for a pastry or to get their bread for the week.

    Location: Brantingsgatan 33, 115 35 Stockholm, Sweden

The next bakery we went to is Happy Atelier.

If we were there for more than two days I definitely would have gone back to this place again, it was that good!

    Location: Hantverkargatan 76, 112 28 Stockholm, Sweden

Fern & Fika is a great place to go for breakfast or lunch or even brunch. While this bakery is located a little bit out of the way, it’s definitely worth going to! As you can see above most of their pastries and other items were sold out 😭 so I recommend getting there earlier in the day!

It was really good and tasted like a brownie with chocolate frosting. The entire city is super clean and extremely quiet for a city, but most importantly it is a gluten-free haven. It was kind of freeing, but I would never recommend it. I also tried another traditional Swedish pastry called chokladbollar AKA an oatmeal ball.

Especially if you’re running around trying to get to all these delicious GF bakeries :)

What gluten-free places did I miss? It is often topped with coconut. Here I tried the traditional Swedish chocolate cake called kärleksmums and WOW it was delicious. We crammed in as many gluten-free spots as we could in 48 hours.

It was a lot different than what we might make here in the U.S. but it was still delicious. We had an early morning flight at 6AM the next day and we decided to head back to our hotel room to get to bed early after of course watching the Patriots play. They also have some pasta dishes, salad bowl and soups.

    Location: Långholmsgatan 11, 117 33 Stockholm, Sweden

Unfortunately, we did not arrive to Café Så Gott until about 5PM and they close at 6PM.

I ended up getting these mini lemon muffins which surprisingly didn’t fall apart the second you open the package. The outside is made out of marzipan and is usually green with a pink marzipan rose on top. While we were there I think one day we rode the bus a couple of times, the metro (AKA tunnelbana) close to 10 times and the commuter rail a few times so it is well worth it.

If you’re looking for more of a meal than a quick pastry this is a great place to go to. It is a sponge cake with layers of pastry cream, raspberry jam and a thick-domed layer of whipped cream.
