The peaceful hamlet is home to the original Heidi house, the house with the same furnishings as in Heidi's time, Heidi's alpine hut, a replica of the loving home of Alpöhi, the exhibition Johanna Spyris Heidiwelt as well as Heidi's village school from 1880. How traditional cheese works over the fire? Despite international appearances in books, musicals, cartoon series and films, our Heidi has not forgotten her roots.
